After graduating from business college in Montreal, Mary's business career spanned book production, and working in the buying office for a major Canadian retail store before she moved into hospitality and then property management. Whilst the industries were varied, her work and interest focused consistently on working with people to solve problems responsively and creatively.
Mary and her husband raised their family in Montreal, and when their children became adults, they moved to Nova Scotia in 2006. Her skills and business experience naturally led her to an interest in the real estate industry. She realized that here in Nova Scotia she could bring her love of this beautiful province and her joy in going the extra mile to assist her clients in realizing their real estate goals.
Whilst in Montreal, Mary had a downsizing business providing advice, logistical support and relocation guidance for those who had reached that point in their life where their current living arrangement was either too large or no longer suitable for themes. For ten years prior to moving to Nova Scotia, Mary ran a Condominium Beach Resort in New Hampshire where the same families would return year after year. Mary built a successful business and when it was time to leave the realization that once you have lived on the ocean, you always need to be near water was overwhelming. Nova Scotia was the natural choice!
Mary continues to offer this invaluable expertise as an ideal complementary service to her real estate practice, assisting clients in all the aspects of downsizing their lives including selling and finding the perfect new home.
Throughout her life Mary has taken up many voluntary fundraising and Board positions and she has continued this commitment to volunteering in Nova Scotia with roles on the Lunenburg Folk Harbour Society Board and Nova Scotia Restorative Justice Board.
Mary is fluently bilingual in French and has created a robust real estate practice on the south shore, where she loves to help others experience this unique lifestyle experience.
